Café Lotus Ubud Hosts Book Launch Celebrating Balinese Dance Maestro Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Mandera

Ubud, Bali – August 08, 2025 - The Café Lotus Ubud recently hosted the re-launch of the third edition of "Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Mandera Sang Maestro Legong dan Kebyar," a biography celebrating the legendary Balinese dance master. The August 8th event featured performances of the late Maestro's renowned Legong and Kebyar dances.

Written by I Wayan Dibia and Anak Agung Oka Dalem, the book chronicles Maestro Mandera's artistic journey and his profound influence on Balinese dance. The launch brought together government officials, cultural leaders from local Puri (palaces), and members of the public to honor his enduring legacy.

The venue holds special significance as Puri Saraswati Dijiwa Ubud was once home to the Maestro's family, creating a meaningful connection between the celebration and his personal history. The Ubud Water Palace provided a culturally rich backdrop that reflects the Maestro's deep roots in Balinese tradition.

Distinguished attendees included members of the Bali DPD, representatives from the Gianyar Regency Culture Office, the Vice Rector of Bali Institute of the Arts (ISI), and respected elders from Puri Ubud and Puri Peliatan.
