Dijiwa Sanctuaries Visit to Bali Care for Cancer Kids Foundation

Denpasar, 1 April 2025Dijiwa Sanctuaries proudly celebrates its 4th anniversary and decided to mark the occasion with something meaningful. Carrying the theme “A Celebration with Purpose – Back to Community”, this year’s anniversary wasn’t just about milestones, but about giving back and showing gratitude.

The highlight of this meaningful celebration was a visit to the foundation, located in the heart of Denpasar - Yayasan Peduli Kanker Anak Bali. This is a foundation that supports children battling cancer. Recognizing the serious impact of cancer — especially for kids — Dijiwa Sanctuaries committed to making a difference in the lives of children bravely battling the disease. According to data from Globocan (2020), over 11,000 new pediatric cancer cases are diagnosed each year in Indonesia, with a recovery rate of less than 30%

Activity and Support at Bali Care for Cancer Kids Foundation

During the visit, Dijiwa's HR teams from all hotel units came together to bring a little joy to the foundation. The team hosted creative activities like origami and drawing, encouraging the children to express their dreams and hopes for the future. The kids were full of energy, sharing their aspirations with smiles and laughter — a powerful reminder of resilience in the face of adversity.

The courage and spirit these children show is incredibly humbling,” said Gede Udiyana, COO of Dijiwa Sanctuaries. “They are fighters, dreamers, and so full of life. On this special occasion, we just wanted them to know they’re not alone — we’re here with them, cheering them on every step of the way.

Cancer remains the third leading cause of death in Indonesia, and its treatment is often expensive and lengthy. Dijiwa’s donation and support are small gestures of love — a way to lighten the load for families and help keep hope alive.

As the children laughed, drew, and shared their dreams, it was clear: this wasn’t just another corporate celebration. It was a reminder that even in the smallest acts of kindness, there’s purpose. And that’s exactly what Dijiwa is all about.
