Blue Karma Village Awarded One MICHELIN Key by The MICHELIN Guide

MICHELIN Key Bali

A soulful Bali sanctuary recognized for delivering “a very special stay.”

Bali, Indonesia -  October 2025 - Blue Karma Secrets is proud to share that Blue Karma Village (Umalas, Seminyak) has been awarded One MICHELIN Key by The MICHELIN Guide, recognizing the property for providing an exceptional stay experience rooted in character, craft, and heartfelt hospitality. The MICHELIN Guide lists Blue Karma Village with the distinction “One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay.”

The MICHELIN Key is the hotel world’s new global benchmark - awarded by MICHELIN’s inspectors to properties that deliver remarkable stays through design, service, and a strong sense of place. Keys are bestowed at one, two, or three levels, with One MICHELIN Key signaling a standout hotel that guests will go out of their way to experience.

A living expression of Bali - quietly refined, deeply personal

MICHELIN Key Bali

Tucked along a village road between Seminyak and Canggu, Blue Karma Village is a collection of reimagined joglo (Balinese mixed with Javanese accent) wood houses - each one curated with art, sculpture, and meaningful details. Pools gather like tranquil lagoons; gardens breathe with morning yoga and unhurried afternoons. It’s intimate, soulful, and intentionally low-key - Bali as a gentle exhale.

What guests can expect

  • Character & craft: Heritage wood, handcrafted details, and curated objects that tell Bali’s story.
  • Calm & comfort: Lush greenery, serene pools, and suites designed for rest and privacy.
  • Wellbeing woven in: Holistic wellness experiences - spa therapies, gentle movement, nourishing food - that help guests reset at their own pace.
  • Proximity without the rush: Convenient access to Seminyak and Canggu, yet cocooned from the bustle.

What the MICHELIN Key means for travelers

For travelers, the Key offers a clear signal: this is where design, authenticity, and warm service come together. Blue Karma Village’s inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide’s Key selection places it among a curated group of stays that MICHELIN’s inspectors consider truly memorable - properties that champion identity, craft, and a meaningful link to their locale. Importantly, MICHELIN’s inspectors visit in complete anonymity, guaranteeing that what earned the MICHELIN Key is not a curated showcase, but the everyday magic experienced by our guests.
